Pam has long been a champion of empowering individuals and their families to achieve by their own standards and up to their full potential.
As co-founder and executive director of Directions, Inc., Pam has more than 20 years of active experience to her credit in working with individuals with every variety of disability.
She was the first to introduce one-on-one, community-based services in the State of Connecticut, an achievement that earned her and Directions national recognition as a model for others to follow.
The author of the widely used book “Schooling Without Walls: A Curriculum for Transitioning to Adulthood,” Pam’s career-related credentials are both extensive and impressive, including:
• Former co-chair of the Developmental Disabilities Council
• Former member of the State Department of Education Special Education Advisory Council
• Member, Professional Advisory Board of the Learning Disability Association
• Vice president, CT Coalition for Inclusive Education
• Board member, Brain Injury Association of CT
• Former elected member of the Berlin, CT Board of Education
• Appointed to Berlin’s Commission for Persons with Disabilities
Pam’s commitment to her profession permeates both her professional and personal lives. In 2001, she acquired her M.S. in Business Management and Technology. And that’s after first earning a master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling.
