Our ILST’s (Independent Living Skills Trainers) Must Have:

• At least a B.A. degree and one year of experience in serving individuals with brain injuries…or, a high school diploma and two years of experience in working with brain injury consumers;
• Completed one or more training programs in brain injury as it relates to person-centered planning as given by one or more of the following agencies: Allied Community Resources, Independent Living Center, Brain Injury Association of Connecticut, or another qualified state or community agency;
• Documented experience in implementing cognitive/behavioral interventions developed by a clinician and used in community settings…or, have met the qualifications for cognitive/behavioral programs.
